What is Pediatric Physical Therapy
Pediatric physical therapy is a specific discipline of physical therapy that focuses on helping infants, children, and adolescents develop the strength, coordination and confidence they need to move through life.
Whether your child is learning to roll, walk, run or return to sports, physical therapy supports their ability to reach their milestones and participate fully in every day activities.
Physical Therapy at Redefine
At Redefine we take it a step further by bringing care into your child’s natural environment — in the home, school or community — where real progress happens.
Our goal is not just to improve movement, but to help every child build independence, confidence and redefine movement their way!
Early Intervention & Infant toddler network:
In Washington State, children under the age of 3 who have developmental delays or qualifying medical conditions may be eligible for services through the Early support for infants and Toddlers program (ESIT). These include PT, OT, ST, and developmental support provided in the child’s natural environment.
Every family’s needs are different. Some families choose to receive services exclusively through ESIT, while others seek additional private services. Some choose to forgo ESIT services all together and just do private insurance coverage or private pay. There are options it is just important that you know yours!
While Redefine Pediatric Therapy is not contracted with ESIT, I am more than happy to collaborate with your child’s existing care team and support families looking for additional pediatric physical therapy services, or seeking services outside of early intervention.
There are multiple local ESIT providers in the area which include: Joya, Stepping Stones Pediatric Therapy, Center for Pediatric Therapy, Children First Therapy, Youthful Horizons therapy, etc.
